Criminal injuries compensation is a natural extension to Chambers’ core expertise in personal injuries litigation. With extensive experience of cases before the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board (1979 and 1990 Schemes – common law damages), and before the Criminal Injuries Compensation Appeals Panel and CIC Tribunal (1996, 2001 and 2008 Schemes – tariff schemes), members of Byrom Street are able to offer advice in relation to all aspects of the criminal injuries compensation process, together with representation at preliminary and final hearings. Chambers is represented in the Criminal Injuries Compensation judiciary with Darryl Allen regularly sitting as a Tribunal Judge.
