Andrew Lewis QC has had published in the The Journal of Personal Injury Law (1st Issue 2012) a lengthy article examining the use of Discount Rates in personal injury litigation.

The article reviews the use of discount rates from a historical perspective, examines the judgments that have shaped the present law, considers the criticisms of the current rate set by the Lord Chancellor and identifies the factors likely to be taken into account by the Lord Chancellor in reviewing the current rate.
