Byrom Street Chambers was involved in this recently reported, child pedestrian, RTA case on liability.  James Rowley KC summarises its main issue and draws out a couple of general practice points.  The first concerns the survivability of an accident in which a child’s head is run over by a rolling tyre.  The second relates to extended perception reaction times [PRTs] for drivers encountering unexpected hazards in their peripheral vision.  To read the short paper, click here
