Byrom Street Chambers is proud to be a participant in the Bar Council’s Bar Placement Scheme.

The Bar Placement Scheme offers students a valuable opportunity to gain real insight into life at the Bar and to explore whether a career as a barrister may be the right path for them.
During the programme, participants may spend up to four days shadowing a barrister both in Chambers and in court, or take part in a virtual placement. Students will also benefit from advocacy training delivered by the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, providing an introduction to core advocacy skills and courtroom practice.
The scheme is designed to offer an authentic experience of the profession, combining observation of real practice with structured training and insight into daily life at the Bar.
Bar Placement Scheme Dates: Monday 13th July – Friday 17th July 2026
