Darryl Allen KC appointed Vice-Chair of the Inns of Court College of Advocacy Board of Governors

Byrom Street is pleased to announce that Darryl Allen KC has been appointed as Vice-Chair (SBAs) of the Board of Governors of the Inns of Court College of Advocacy (ICCA). Darryl will take up his post on 1st January 2021 and will succeed Andrew Hochhauser QC. 

 

ICCA was established by the Council of the Inns of Court (COIC). It works with barristers, judges and others drawn from the Inns, the Circuits, the Bar Council of England and Wales, Specialist Bar Associations and other representative organisations.  ICCA is made up of a specialist academic team and a professional operations team, currently based at Gray’s Inn Square.  It delivers a two-stage Bar Course with a combination of online digital learning and face to face skills training.  It also delivers training in advocacy, ethics and other subjects for established practitioners.

 

The work of the College is overseen by a Board of Governors.  Darryl has been appointed as one of two Vice-Chairs of that Board.

 

Darryl will continue to practise full-time from Byrom Street Chambers.
