Insurance Litigation

Byrom Street has a long and unrivalled expertise on the Northern Circuit and nationally in providing advice and advocacy in areas of Insurance litigation. Byrom Street has particular expertise in insurance litigation arising out of Road Traffic Act claims and disease litigation. 

Members of Chambers have in the past acted in leading cases in the House of Lords relating to the interpretation of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988, the disease trigger litigation, in relation to MIB cases at appellate level and are currently instructed in litigation proceeding in the European Court of Justice where further issues arising from the interpretation of s151(8) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 have been referred by the Court of Appeal on a preliminary ruling.
